1 STEP- REGISTRATION AND DISCUSSION OF YOUR FAMILY´S REQUIREMENTS
Once you have decided what type of childcare you are looking for (nanny, governess or maternity nurse) you need to register with THE GOOD CHILDCARE agency by filling out our Families Registration Form (see below). This will submit our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy and your information will be carefully reviewed by us. Then we will contact you to discuss all your needs, specific requirements, the nanny’s role, the schedule and the environment in which your nanny will do work.
2 STEP - FINDING THE RIGHT NANNY & FAMILY MATCH
TGC does a specific search and selection to find appropriate candidates who match your family’s requirements. Through our unique vetting process we work hard to ensure that all the nannies meet the highest standards. All our candidates must be high qualified supported by years of experience in the childcare and education field, they are bilingual, have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a Food Handler Certificate. We always check documentation, references and Criminal Record Report / Enhanced DBS (UK) to all our candidates. Besides, we take our time to know each candidate´s strengths, personality and childcare/education style to match them closely to your child’s level of development and individual needs. Once we have selected the candidates that we think they will fit your family dynamic we will share their nanny profiles with you and will include a bio outlining the candidates attributes, qualifications, certificates, work experiences, location, soonest starting availability and when possible, include copies of written references. Then you will need to let us know which candidates you would like to interview yourself.
3 STEP - INTERVIEWING CANDIDATES
We encourage you to interview all the selected candidates. You can interview them either over the phone, via Skype/Zoom or in person. We help set up these interviews. The presence of all family members during the interviuw with the candidate would be ideal to gauge how you all feel about the match before you hire your nanny. We recommend that while interviewing both parties ask each other questions and clarify any doubts that may arise. We can offer a selection of interview questions and tips. During the interwiuw stage you must discuss and confirm the wages and all working conditions directly with the candidate. After the interviuw we will review the impressions of both family and candidate.
4 STEP - CONTRACT
The following stage is when the candidate and you make your final decisions. Both parties should take your time to consider all the aspects. We support you throughout the entire employment process including contracts, salary negotiations and all the responsibilities required from family and candidates, we can help draft a work agreement too. If both of you feel like you have met the perfect match, then you will proceed with the signing of the contract of employment and the candidate will be directly employed by you.
5 STEP - POST-PLACEMENT SUPPORT
After placement of our candidate, we will contact both family and candidate to assess the working relationship. We offer post-placement support so whatever your concerns, we will be always happy to help you.
